You provide the script, you name
the fee! That's our policy.
How does it work?
Why do we do it that way? As a producer for 30 years I
sometimes had big budgets and sometimes smaller ones. My
philosophy as a producer was to make the best track
possible because a good track would carry less than great
visuals. (to a point for sure but generally very true)
Working around Chicago,
I had access to some of the best voice talent in the
country. Over the years I developed a level of trust so
that when I had a big budget I would pay talent more and
when I had less they would still work for me. This worked
for everyone and allowed me to produce exceptional tracks
even on a tight budget while keeping more of my voice
friends working. They knew that I wrote specific scripts
just for their style of delivery and that I would always
do my best to help them sound terrific. A good producer
does that.
So that's it. We're
passing that along to you. You have a better budget,
please do share with us because even when your budgets are
tight we are here to work with you.
Your script - you call
the fees.
Retakes and remakes
included. We care that your production meets your
standards and wow's your clients.
Of course we'll do
gratis audition samples to help you get the work and,
hopefully, be the voices you want to use on the project.
We know that doesn't always work out. We're not the voice
of everything. We understand that when a lot of people get
involved in creative selection odd choices can be made. We
empathize.
When I produce, I don't
involve the client in decisions about talent. They can
veto who I chose but first choice is mine based on my
knowledge of the project and my long time experience in
working with voice talent. After all they hired me as the
creative "general contractor" for their project. I get to
hire the crew and talent that I know and trust. It's good
for them and takes a lot off my mind to know we have
choice people in the process.
Thanks for considering
Anne and I for your project. Know that we will do
everything we can to help you make it your best.
